We participated in the XLI Meeting of the Polish Astronomical Society that took place in Toruń, on September 11-15, 2023. The Meeting has a special character because 100 years earlier, on February 19, 1923, in the city of Toruń the Polish Astronomical Society was found. Moreover, in 2023 we celebrate the Year of Nicolaus Copernicus due to the 550th anniversary of the birth of the famous astronomer.

Michal Drahus, PI of HYADES, presented the main principles of our space mission during a session on instrumental programs.
The HYADES mission was also mentioned in Prof. Piotr Orleanski’s lecture titled “Current scientific space missions under preparation in Poland” and by Mikolaj Sabat, regarding research at Lyman-alpha.

Another member of our team, Piotr Guzik, gave a lecture entitled “Interstellar minor bodies in the Solar System” as an invited speaker.

The PTA Meetings are held every two years in different cities and they are large scientific conferences constituting the review of the state-of-the-art research led by Polish astronomers both in our country and in foreign institutions and projects. The Meetings are accompanied by the numerous events popularizing astronomy.
